The results indicate that 20% of Syrians who live outside the camps have no family member left in Syria, while 32% have family members in countries other than Turkey. The language barrier has been a problem for 79% of Syrians, and more than 70% have faced difficulties with housing or employment. The share of Syrians who felt integrated with Turkey was 26%. On the other hand, 73% stated that they felt secure in Turkey.
The findings shed light on their plans for the future. More than half (56%) plan to go back to Syria while 16% expressed their desire to live in a different country. Only 35% of Syrians feel positive about the future of Syria.
