Xsights Data runs all control processes in accordance with ISO, TÜAD, and GAB standards and ESOMAR codes.

QUANTITATIVE CONTROL PROCEDURES

CAWI (Computer Assisted Web Interviewing)

  • Logic Check: All rules and filters are defined within script design; thus, majority of logic errors can be prevented substantially.

  • IP Check: In our management panel, an IP check mechanism is used to control whether the panel participants are living in Turkey or not, whether there are multiple entries over the same IP or not, or whether they use a proxy server or not.

  • Consistency Checks: All information stated by panel participants during the study is compared with the information retrieved via telephone controls.

  • Automatic Black List: If any of the panel participants is detected as not real, it is automatically marked, and marked participants are automatically included in the black list. The surveys made by the participants within this black list are deleted.

  • Trap Question: Precautions like asking trap questions are used to ensure high answer quality.

  • Questionnaire Length: Average questionnaire length is calculated, and the surveys which are completed quite below this average length are cancelled.

  • Data Consistency Tests: Xsights runs statistical consistency test to collected data.

CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing)

  • All quality checks within the project process, are run for every CATI personnel separately.

  • Voice records are listened randomly and are checked whether they are realized in line with survey objectives or not.

  • Within the quality checks, 20% of the voice records are listened and reviewed by the supervisor.

  • During the project, an Xsights supervisor accompanies the CATI personnel, and thus any potential problems can be solved instantly.

  • In case of facing with a CATI personnel’s repeated error or failure either purposed or unconsciously, all surveys realized to the moment of the error/failure detection, are cancelled; the number of these surveys are reduced from the total number of completed interviews, and these surveys are conducted again.

  • Our clients may listen to the voice records through a secure link that will be sent to them, at any time they request to do so.

PAPI (Paper and Pencil Personal Interviewing)

  • All quality checks in operations process are run for each interviewer separately.

  • Participants of the study are called randomly to check whether survey is conducted in line with its objectives.

  • Within this check, 20% of the participants with whom the survey is conducted, are contacted.

  • Xsights realize fieldwork controls regularly in its field operations. These controls can be uninformed, and clients may participate in.

  • In case of facing with an interviewer’s repeated error or failure either purposed or unconsciously, all surveys realized to the moment of the error/failure detection, are cancelled; the number of these surveys are reduced from the total number of completed interviews, and these surveys are conducted again.

  • Telephone checks are recorded and clients may listen to these records through a secure link that will be sent to them, at any time they request to do so.

  • Locations that interviewers are in can be viewed with GPS. By this way, the locations where the interviews are conducted can be controlled whether these locations are the right locations or not.

CAMI-Mobil (Computer Assisted Mobile Interviewing)

  • %20 of the participants are called and their answers are controlled. Consistency checks are run by comparing the information given prior to the study and the information collected.

  • The participants’ mobile phone numbers entered the system, can be tracked by the system.

  • High answer quality is obtained with trap questions.

  • The interviews, that are completed quite below the average interview length, are cancelled.

QUALITATIVE CONTROL PROCEDURES

In-Depth Interviews and Group Discussions (Focus Groups)

The controls of in-depth interview and focus group participants are realized through Qualitative Research Participant Registration System which is provided by TÜAD.

Participants can participate in a qualitative research 5 times in 5 years at most. After 3-year waiting period, they can be participants of a qualitative research 5 times in 5 years, again. That is, a person can be a participant 10 times at most; but must wait for 3 years after the first 5 participation. Participants who do not meet these conditions, are not accepted to qualitative research studies.
