The Promise of Cardamon/Evaluation of Value Chain Project

Cardamon is a cash crop in Eastern Nepal. Mercy Corps implemented a project in which farmers were taught better ways of drying cardamon seeds so that the process would not cause the loss of precious oils. The project aimed at increasing farmers’ capacity for better bookkeeping, negotiating and communicating with the end clients. XSIGHTS conducted an external evaluation which included visits to Eastern Nepal and the production of a short documentary about the findings. Please click the link for more.

A British marketing company that represents several F&B (Food and Beverage) brands approached XSIGHTS to increase its Washington Apples sales in the Middle East. XSIGHTS conducted interviews in Dubai with Arab housewives, which revealed that the key decision makers were not them but their ‘Didi’s’ who were employed for cooking and cleaning. XSIGHTS also supported a market entry strategy for this organisation.
